Backup Forever program makes backup copies and restores them safely at the cost of speed and disk space. When this program makes a backup, it records as much extra information as possible to recover all information recorded on the backup even if a failure destroys some file regions. There are two versions: graphic and command line.

Backup To DVD/CD is designed to work best with DVD, CD-RW, CD-R and other high capacity media, or if you want files to be saved on the backup as exact copies of the originals so they can be accessed directly on the backup media without restoring them first. Its essential feature is that by default files are stored on the backup media as exact copies of the originals, without compression or a proprietary format.

Two Backup Programs
The only difference between our two programs is that Backup To DVD/CD is configured by default appropriately for DVD, CD and other high capacity media, and Backup Made Simple for more general purpose use and when space is at a premium. Mostly this means Backup Made Simple compresses files to save space on the backup media, and Backup To DVD/CD does not. Each can be configured to operate like the other, they can restore each other's backups, etc. They also accept each other's license ID's so you don't have to buy a second license to use both. This small utility allows you to encrypt or decrypt a file from the command line. It uses the Tiny Encryption Algorithm (TEA) with a 128-bit key and Cipher Block Chaining (CBC). More encryption algorithms may be added in future versions.
